A Day in the Life of a Toddler at Southwest Academies

Our toddler classes follow a structured daily schedule, providing your child with a sense of stability and consistency from the moment they arrive. Every morning starts with a nutritious breakfast and free play as we welcome everyone to class. Once all are present, we transition to changing and handwashing, ensuring a clean start to our activity time. Activity time includes the following:

  • Circle Time
  • Gross Motor Activities
  • Structured Play

We then tidy up before lunch, including cleaning up toys from activity time and washing our hands. After lunch, all students enjoy a restful nap, ensuring they have energy for the rest of the day. Following nap time, we provide afternoon snacks before engaging in independent exploration or outdoor play, weather permitting. As dinner approaches, we have our students clean up before they eat. After dinner, our toddlers participate in one last group activity before we prepare them for dismissal.
